The Mill

"Although I haven’t spent a lot of time over on the Essex Syndicates lakes, I have been there often enough to know the huge potential these lakes offer. In fact, the Rise has already reached this and then some, the fish in there are not only huge but some of the best-looking fish in the land. I fished it a bit in the depths of winter a couple of seasons back and, on my first trip, landed this immaculate fully scaled mirror with huge sovereigns all over it’s flanks. The following week I took another, less scaley but equally impressive carp and these were far from the cream of the stock. Some of the photo’s I have seen from here are mind blowing. I also dabbled a bit on the Mill Syndicate, which a very picturesque and nicely laid out lake further along the valley. The Mill also has a great stock of fish and various points and bays that keep it all interesting. I am planning to do a bit more over at Essex Syndicates over the coming months and, hopefully, I’ll get to hold a few more of these special carp."
